Proud of Our People, Our Business, Our Community
For the past 30 years, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation has taken an active and supportive role within a number of communities coast to coast in Canada. As a corporation, we aim to provide assistance to charitable organizations that are able to make a difference and lend a helping hand.
Building strong communities is a key pillar and important part of our corporate strategy, We are proud of the contribution Great Canadian is able to make through the various ways we can assist those in need.
Every year, Great Canadian invests over $2 million in various charitable organizations in British Columbia, Ontario, and Nova Scotia and our team members support dozens of local groups through countless volunteering hours. In addition, hundreds of events and fundraisers are supported through live and silent auction donations along with discounts on Great Canadian owned facilities.
It is through our PROUD employee volunteer and recognition program, that we as an organization recognize, encourage and most importantly reward the efforts of our colleagues who volunteer and give back to their communities. With over 4,600 employees, we’re able to connect and support initiatives and programs that are important to many Canadians.

Being a Great Canadian Community Partner
Through financial and non-financial resources we work to empower individuals and organizations that effect positive change within the communities that we serve. This can take shape in many ways but there are some common principles we look for in a charitable partner:
- Perhaps most importantly, we look to support groups and organizations whose mandate is local and dedicated to the community that we serve and whose work has a direct impact on that community.
- We strive for partnerships with groups and organizations, rather than a sponsorship. Ultimately, what we feel is most meaningful is when a healthy and active relationship is developed and maintained between two parties.
- We value the breadth and depth of work an organization conducts, as well as the diversity of programs they offer in support of their community.
- Additionally, we expect the services an organization supports to be provide real, tangible outcomes that make a difference in their communities.
- We also expect groups and organizations to employ sound financial practices and sustainable funding tactics.
We encourage registered charities and non-profit organizations to contact us if they feel they are consistent with these principles, but regrettably we cannot support religious, political or advocacy groups, individual fundraising pursuits, or organizations that are inconsistent with our values.
How Can We Help?
Community Casino Night
Great Canadian was founded on charity casino events dating back to early 1980’s. With over 30 years of experience in the gaming entertainment industry, Great Canadian is able to support groups in creating a casino themed event. We will provide gaming tables, chairs, ancillary equipment and exceptionally trained dealers for a period of up to four hours. The charity organization in charge of organizing the event will be responsible for obtaining an appropriate license for the casino event. If you wish to add the thrill of a casino night to your event, please email your request to Sonja Mandic, Manager Media and Responsible Gaming at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Auction Entertainment Packages
To help raise the bar and profile of your next silent or live auction event, Great Canadian is able to donate exclusive entertainment packages that will entice and excite your audience. From luxurious hotel stays at our River Rock Casino Resort to special VIP show theatre tickets and exhilarating day passes at the best racetracks in Western Canada, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Elite Entertainment Package:

Show tickets, meet and greet opportunity at either the River Rock Show Theatre or Hard Rock Casino Vancouver.

Looking for a place to hold your fundraiser or gala? Many community groups have used our facilities to host their event. Please email your request to Sonja Mandic, Manager Media and Responsible Gaming at email@example.com for more information.
At Great Canadian, volunteering is one of the key pillars of our community giving. If your organization is in need of volunteers to support you in numerous activities or a special event, please advise us of your needs, and we will assist by cultivating interest and awareness amongst our staff.
At our various properties, our colleagues speak a number of different languages and dialects. Through our translation services we can assist community groups in ways that many others can’t.
Annual coin drives can generate a significant amount of income for many charity organizations. Bring your donations for counting to one of our properties and we will take the burden of counting off your hands by sorting and tallying your totals.
If you have another way that we can help, let us know!

Where the Money Goes
In British Columbia, approximately two-thirds of gross gaming revenue from the gaming facilities goes directly back to the government. The remaining one-third of gaming revenue is retained by service providers, such as Great Canadian, to pay for wages, building costs, taxes and other operational services.
